Also known as boxer’s syndrome or dementia pugilistica is a condition common among boxers. This is caused by a head trauma from repeated concussive and sub-concussive blows to the head. The condition affects 15-20% of professional boxers with onset of symptoms showing 12 to 16 years on average after the start of a boxer’s fighting career.
