Russell Jordan is a boxer who fights for the Light Middleweight Division. He was born on Rochester, New York, on May 14, 1982. He has a height of 6 feet 2 inches and a reach of 78 inches.

Jordan, who also fights by the nickname “Spiderman,” uses the Southpaw stance. However, it’s not really his technical abilities that made him popular in the boxing circuit. It was his total persona. He is decisive, confident, and arrogant at times, and truly determined.

These characteristics helped him win a lot during his amateur days. In fact, he had more than 150 wins and just lost thrice during that time. As expected, it would not be long before he could have his own spotlight in professional boxing.

He made his debut on July 12, 2002, and fought against Shawn Breault in Civic Center in New York. Later, on August 16 of the same year, he went head to head with Raymond Reyes. He won over both fights.

However, it was also in 2002 that he had his first experience of losing professionally, and it was truly controversial. On November 11, he fought Jose Luis Almanzar in Hilton Hotel.

The bout was initially in Jordan’s favour. Within four rounds, Almanzar was already knocked down twice. Based on boxing standards, more than one knockout in less than five rounds is a sure-fire way of telling who will eventually win the game in the end. Sad to say, Almanzar was able to bring himself until the end of all rounds, and a split decision was made in favor of him.

Nevertheless, this didn’t stop him from pursuing a good career in boxing. He went on to fight more boxers and won against Alfred Hall, Rodney Tappin, Kemal Kolonevic, Henry Humphrey, and Maximo Cuevas. He, unfortunately, lost again during his bout with Oscar Diaz.

As of today, his record stays at 15 wins (10 of which are knockouts), 6 losses, and 0 draws.
