Aquiles Guzman

Aquiles Guzman was born April 13, 1965 in Anzoategui, Venezuela, won his World Boxing Association flyweight title in 1992.

This native Venezuelan turned professional in 1985. Seven years later, in 1992, he was declared as the World Boxing Association flyweight champion defeating Yong Kang Kim from Korea. He continued competing but was unfortunately defeated by David Griman also from Venezuela in 1994, then by Sean Sor Ploenchit from Thailand, Alimi Goitia, a fellow Venezuelan and Yokthai Sithoar from Thailand.

Sad to say, Guzman finished his professional boxing career in a losing record when he retired in 2001.
