Asley "Chiquita" González Macías was born on July 1, 1993, in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. The Mexican fighter stands approximately 162 cm tall.

She competes in the Super Flyweight division and fights from an orthodox position. Known for her compact, aggressive style and heavy hands, González had a difficult childhood and discovered boxing relatively late at the age of 22.

Despite a short amateur career consisting of only a few fights, she turned professional and quickly developed into a world-class fighter. She cites Mexican legends Jackie Nava and Julio Cesar Chavez as her inspirations.

Career

González began her professional campaign in November 2016 with a fourth-round knockout victory over Danira Navarrete. She built a strong record on the domestic circuit in Mexico before suffering her first setbacks in competitive bouts in 2019 and 2021.

Her breakthrough came in October 2022, when she challenged the long-reigning champion Lourdes Juarez for the WBC Super Flyweight World Title in her hometown of Tepic. In a career-best performance, González won via majority decision to capture the green and gold belt. She validated her championship status by defeating Juárez again in a direct rematch in March 2023, this time via split decision.

In December 2024, González traveled to Hamburg, Germany, to defend her title against the experienced Spanish contender Mary Romero. Fighting at the WBC Convention, González successfully retained her title with a unanimous decision victory, showcasing her pressure and work rate to secure the win on foreign soil.
