Career
Serrano began her professional campaign in March 2009 with a majority decision victory. She embarked on a historic run through the weight classes, capturing world titles in seven different divisions, surpassing records held by legendary fighters like Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya in women's boxing.In 2019, she settled into the featherweight division, eventually becoming the undisputed champion.
Her career is heavily defined by her trilogy with Katie Taylor. Their first bout in 2022 was a historic event at Madison Square Garden, which Serrano lost by split decision. She faced Taylor again in November 2024 for the undisputed Super Lightweight title at AT&T Stadium, losing a controversial unanimous decision in a fight marred by a severe cut from a headbutt.
