The Brazilian fighter is 162 cm tall and has a wingspan of 162 cm.She has competed in the lightweight division throughout her professional tenure. She fights from an orthodox position and is the daughter of Raimundo Ferreira, a former boxer who also serves as her trainer. She is widely recognized as one of the greatest amateur boxers in Brazilian history, having captured two World Championship gold medals (2019, 2023) alongside her Olympic success.
Career
Ferreira began her professional campaign in November 2022 with a unanimous decision victory over Taynna Cardoso. Uniquely, she balanced her early professional career with elite amateur competition, aiming for a second Olympic medal.In April 2024, Ferreira captured her first major professional title in just her fifth fight. She defeated Yanina del Carmen Lescano via a sixth-round technical decision in Liverpool to win the vacant IBF Lightweight World Title. Following this victory, she returned to the amateur ranks to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she secured a bronze medal to add to her silver from Tokyo 2020.
She successfully defended her IBF title in December 2024 with a unanimous decision over Licia Boudersa in Monte Carlo. In 2025, she continued her reign with dominant performances, defending her belt against Maria Ines Ferreyra in June and Maira Moneo in September, both by unanimous decision. She is scheduled to make her fourth title defense against Elif Nur Turhan in December 2025.
