Andy Cruz is an active professional boxer from Cuba. He is an undefeated Lightweight contender and is widely regarded as one of the most decorated amateur boxers of his generation.

Andy Cruz Gómez was born on August 12, 1995, in Matanzas, Cuba. The Cuban fighter is 175 cm tall and has a wingspan of 178 cm.

He has competed in the Lightweight division during his professional tenure.

Career

Cruz began his professional campaign in July 2023, following a legendary amateur run. His amateur career included gold medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, three consecutive AIBA World Championships (2017, 2019, 2021), and two Pan American Games (2015, 2019).

He made his professional debut in a 10-round bout, winning the IBF International Lightweight title with a unanimous decision over veteran Juan Carlos Burgos.

He has since defended his title with a knockout victory over Jovanni Straffon in December 2023 and a unanimous decision win against Brayan Zamarripa Rodriguez in February 2024.
