Career
Baraou began his professional campaign in April 2018 after a decorated amateur run. His amateur career included winning a gold medal at the 2017 European Championships and a bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships.He won the German Light-Middleweight title in just his second professional fight. In 2019, he captured the WBC International Title by defeating Carlos Molina. His first professional loss came in August 2020 via a split decision to Jack Culcay.
Baraou rebuilt his career, winning the vacant European Light-Middleweight title in March 2024 against Sam Eggington. In August 2025, he defeated the previously unbeaten Yoenis Tellez to win the WBA Interim Title. He was elevated to full WBA World Champion in September 2025.
