Lester Martínez is an active professional boxer from Guatemala. He is an undefeated Super Middleweight contender and a decorated amateur who won a gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games.

Lester Normandy Martínez Tut was born on October 17, 1995, in San Benito, Petén, Guatemala. The Guatemalan fighter is 180 cm tall and has a wingspan of 183 cm.

He has competed as a super middleweight for his entire professional tenure.

Career

Martínez began his professional campaign in 2019 following a successful amateur period. His time in the unpaid ranks included winning a silver medal at the 2012 Youth World Championships and securing a gold medal at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.

He made his professional debut in April 2019 against former world champion Ricardo Mayorga, winning by knockout to capture the vacant WBC Latino Super Middleweight title. In 2020, he added the WBO Latino title to his collection with a victory over Uriel Gonzalez.

His most significant victory to date came in December 2023 when he defeated the previously unbeaten contender Carlos Góngora by unanimous decision to win the WBO Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title. This led to a world title opportunity against Christian Mbilli for the WBC Interim title in February 2025, which ended in a draw.
