Career

Plania turned pro in August 2014. His first fight was a win against fellow Filipino fighter Lordly Pateno. His first title came in April 2016. He won the World Boxing Federation International Bantamweight title after he defeated Lorence Rosas.

He lost for the first time in March 2018. It was against Juan Carlos Payano and it also lost him the chance at claiming the WBO Inter-Continental Bantamweight title. In September of that year, he won the WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver Super Bantamweight title after he beat Angelito Merin.

In December 2019, he beat Giovanni Gutierrez in Miami and won the IBF North American Super Bantamweight title. In September 2022, he lost the chance to hold the WBO NABO Super Bantamweight title after he lost to Ra’eese Aleem.
