In December 2016, he won the WBC Silver Bantamweight title after he beat Raymond Tabugon. In August 2017, he beat Shinsuke Yamanaka and won the WBC World Bantamweight title. He won against Yamanaka again in March 2018, defending his WBC World title.
In October 2018, he won the WBC Silver Bantamweight title after he defeated Jason Canoy. He defended this against Juan Carlos Payano in July 2019. In May 2021, he lost the WBA World Super Bantamweight and the WBC World Super Bantamweight titles against Brandon Figueroa.
In February 2022, he won the WBC Silver Super Bantamweight and the WBO Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight titles after beating Carlos Castro. His latest fight was a win against Azat Hovhannisyan in February 2023.
