He has competed in the Super Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions. He fights from an orthodox position and is known for his relentless, high-volume pressure-fighting style.

Career

Figueroa began his professional campaign in May 2015. He won his first world title, the WBA (Regular) Super Bantamweight Belt, in 2019. His first defense of that title resulted in a split draw with Julio Ceja.

In May 2021, he unified titles in a "Fight Of The Year" contender and rivalry with Luis Nery, winning by a seventh-round knockout to add the WBC Super Bantamweight Title to his own.

His career is also defined by a major rivalry with Stephen Fulton. They first met in November 2021, where Figueroa lost his titles and undefeated record via a close majority decision. After moving up to Featherweight, he won the vacant WBC Interim title in 2023 against Mark Magsayo and was eventually promoted to full champion.

In February 2025, he lost the WBC Featherweight Title to Fulton in their anticipated rematch, this time by unanimous decision.
