Gennadyevich turned pro in November 2011. His first professional opponent was Stefan Stanko. A few weeks later, he went up against Richard Remen. Since his first few fights, Gennadyevich has had 28 bouts, winning 25.He won his first title in July 2013. This was the WBO Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight. He won the title after he defeated Doudou Ngumbu. In April 2014, he won his second title, the EBU European Light Heavyweight title after he bested Mohamed Belkacem.
He defended this title three times in 2015 and 2016. In May 2017, he won the IBO World Light Heavyweight title. In March 2018, he went up against Sergey Kovalev in a bid to win the Eurasian Boxing Parliament Light Heavy and the WBO World Light Heavy but he lost.
His next attempt at a title came in 2021. He went up against Mathieu Bauderlique for the EBU European Light Heavyweight title but he lost to the French fighter.
