Career

Buatsi began his professional campaign in 2017 following a successful amateur period. His time as an amateur concluded with a bronze medal victory for Great Britain at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He also secured a bronze medal at the 2015 European Championships.

His early professional run saw him secure the British light-heavyweight title in 2019. His status as a top contender was solidified in a domestic rivalry with Dan Azeez. In their February 2024 eliminator bout, Buatsi won a clear points decision.
