Career

Conceicao began his professional campaign in November 2016, following his historic gold medal win at the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympic Games.

His career has been defined by rivalries with multiple world champions. In September 2021, he suffered his first loss in a controversial unanimous decision to Oscar Valdez for the WBC Title. In 2022, he lost a clear decision to Shakur Stevenson for the vacant WBC and WBO titles.

In November 2023, he fought Emanuel Navarrete for the WBO Super Featherweight Title, earning a majority draw in an action-packed fight where he was knocked down twice.

His persistence paid off in a rivalry with O'Shaquie Foster. In July 2024, Conceicao won the WBC Super Featherweight Title via a controversial split decision. He lost the title in an immediate rematch in November 2024, also by split decision.
