Omotunde “Andrew” Tabiti is an American professional boxer, who is currently a challenger of the IBF cruiserweight title. As of 2021 rankings, he is the Top 5 best active cruiserweight by The Ring magazine. Tabiti has a total of 18 fights, with 17 wins and only 1 loss. He had a reach of 194 cm, and a height of 185cm.

Tabiti was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, although both of his parents are Nigerian. His professional boxing career started in 2013, as he was under the training of the Mayweather Boxing Club. He was also personally trained by Floyd Mayweather Sr., Otis Pimpleton, and Jeff Mayweather. One of Tabiti’s advantages is his incredible speed that matches well with his reflexes to release a powerful punch. As of January 2019’s ranking, he was ranked Top 5 in WBA Cruiserweight Ranking, while he earned the Top 1 spot in the IBF Cruiserweight Ranking.

His first fight was with Johnny Tapia in May 2016, and Tabiti successfully won the North American Boxing Federation (NABF) Cruiserweight title. By the following year, he retained the title by defeating Quantis Graves and Steve Cunningham.

Tabiti also joined the 2018-2019 World Boxing Super Series for the cruiserweight division. He first had fought against Ruslan Fayfer, and then he proceeded to the semi-finals to face Yuniel Dorticos. However, he lost to the Cuban boxer in the 10th round by knockout.

Tabiti is currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he is currently under the training of the Mayweather Boxing Club. Although his last fight was in June 2019, there is still no update about his next fight would be. He mentioned in one of his interviews that he wanted to face Dorticos in the ring once again because he was the only boxer who had defeated him.

A rematch between Tabiti and Dorticos may be possible, however, none of their management had announced the possible date for their fight.
