Winyu Paradorngym became the first Thai woman to hold the Atomweight title, a newly created division by the WBC for females weighing 102 lbs. She is the second Thai woman to win a female world title over the Japanese Momo Koseki in August 11, 2008.

The WBC inaugurated the new division in 2007 and in a title bout, Paradorngym countered Koseki with less punches but got in with deadly accuracy. Koseki, winner of All Japan Female amateur boxing championship in 2007 was the more aggressive of the two.

Born August 28, 1983, Paradorngym already has seven professional fights in her career with one knockout. In 2006, she defeated Nongmai Sor Siriporn in a four-bout match but lost to Samson Sor Siriporn November the same year. In 2007, she won four matches against Lilly Rachaprachagym, Panda Or Yutthachai kot, Charoengchai Sor Rungtanachai and Koseki.

Paradorngym with her aggressive body shots easily won a six-round bout against Paetonglek Jindamese in a 7-1-1 score earlier this year. Paradorngym is known for her accurate shots and often aggressive stance towards her opponents.

In a winning bout over Tutkta Sor Ratana, in a non-title bout, she showed her accurate punches in a close-combat style that left her opponent weak. Winyu Paradorngym, a former Muay Thai champion uses her light body and quick footwork to her advantage.

In February 2008, in Chaiyaphum, she saw her first win of the year against Tukta Sor Ratana in a six-round bout. Petite at 5 feet and five inches, she has in a short time proven herself a force to be reckoned with her quick punches that are deadly accurate as they are powerful.
