The Ukrainian junior middleweight boxer born from St. Nizhnegorsk, Soviet Union, on March 1, 1976 won the silver medal of the World Amateur Boxing Championships in 1997. He wasn’t able to earn the gold since he lost the final fight to Oleg Saitov.

Sergiy Dzinziruk, an expert in southpaw stance, won another silver medal in the European Championship in 1998. In his amateur career, he fought 220 times in the ring. The 195 fights he won earned him to the professional level.

Aside from boxing he is a Physical Education instructor/ teacher and loves other sports such as skiing and car racing. He considers Lennox Lewis as his boxing icon. As he, himself, is already in the boxing profession, he is trained by Michael Timm and managed by Klaus- Peter Kohl.

The 6 foot 32-year-old junior middleweight fighter gained the WBO Championship title when he defeated Daniel Santos in December 3, 2005. Sergey, nicknamed as Dzyna (Razor), successfully defended his title three times after that.

In November 2006, his second defence, he defeated Alisultan Nadirbegov by a unanimous decision in the 12th round. He again earned the World Boxing Organization Championship title with the score of 120-108, 119-108, and 119-109. This took place in Branberge Arena, Halle an der Saale and Sachcen-Anhalt, Germany.

The following year, Sergiy showed off his excellent performance in the ring once again. He held on to the WBO Junior Middleweight Title when he defeated the previously unbeaten Carlos Nascimento in the 11th round by a TKO.

Though Sergiy resides in Hamburg, German he mostly competes outside his native country. He has a professional record of 35 fights without defeat and 22 of which are knockouts. He now has a 186 number of rounds boxed and 62.86% of knockouts.
