Dimirti Kirilov is a Russian professional boxer. He was born on November 24, 1978 in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is nicknamed "The Baby", due to his looks. But make no mistake; the Baby is a warrior inside the ring. He stands 5'4", and uses an Orthodox stance. Kirilov is coached by Freddie Roach, the highly successful trainer who handled the likes of Manny Pacquiao.

Little is known throughout his professional boxing career. Kirilov's big break came on October 13, 2007. Kirilov defeated Jose Navarro on at the Khodynka Ice Palace, in Moscow, Russia, to obtain the vacant International Boxing Federation super flyweight title. Kirilov won a close unanimous decision by the scores of 116-112, 114-113 and 114-113. The fight was hard fought for Kirilov, who had trouble trying to solve Navarro’s southpaw style. Kirilov was able to land a crucial knockdown on Navarro in the 3rd round. The match would have been a majority draw if Kirilov did not knock out Navarro in the third round.

Kirilov has a record of 29 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw, with 9 wins by knockout. Despite his accomplishment, Kirilov still needs to brush up his skills, especially his defensive skill. Kirilov showed little in the way of defense during the match with Navarro and endured a lot of his. However, Kirilov’s offense was essentially his best defense in the match with Navarro, since when he was in the attack mode there was very little that Navarro could do offensively due to the massive shots that were coming at him.

Kirilov also managed to retain his IBF title against Cecilio Santos but through a majority draw decision on February 28, 2008. This further proves that Kirilov needs to improve or else risk losing his IBF Super Flyweight title.
