Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his opponent “Sugar” Shane Mosley have reportedly come to an agreement regarding the terms and specifications of the expected fight for the World Boxing Association’s welterweight title.shane mosley

According to Judd Burstein, Mosley’s attorney, “ Shane has signed. I sat with him (Friday) and we went through every provision of the contract and he signed… He is excited to move forward with the bout.”

The fight between Mayweather and Mosley has been set for 1st of May this year in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand.

While Mosley has already signed the contract, Mayweather has yet to add his signature to the agreement. However, he has expressed his intent to face Mosley in May.

According to Ellerbe, all of the main points have already been agreed to, but Mayweather has yet to sign papers to totally finalize everything.

Like the conditions stated in the plans that were made for the canceled Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Mosley agreed to undergo random urine and blood testing. The same is true for Mayweather. The testing conditions were the main reason why the mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. did not push through.

Mosley, on the other hand, was set to go head to head with Andre Berto of Haiti. However, the title-unification match did not happen when Berto pulled out of the fight after some of his family members perished in the earthquake that devastated Haiti.
