For more than 20 years, Manny Pacquiao has been a household name when it comes to boxing.

During the interview on Toni Talks hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Pacquiao confirmed that his boxing career is now over after getting encouragement from his family.

With his presidential race in 2022, he would be busy enough to accommodate boxing matches and events. However, this doesn’t stop Pacquiao’s promotional team to dismiss his alleged retirement. Kevin Iole had spoken with Sean Gibbons about it, and Gibbons replied that Pacquiao has no concrete decision to end his boxing career yet. The door for his boxing career is still open just in case Pacquiao wants to come back in the ring.

Pacquiao already established the biggest name in Philippine history for being a great boxer. However, his political ambition to run for president next year weighed more, as he boldly accept the nomination to run as the President of the Philippines.

One of his advocates is to fight corruption and progress despite poverty. He also said in his latest campaign that Filipino needs a government with serving officials with integrity and transparency.

Pacquiao’s latest fight was against Yordenis Ugas last month, where he failed to win the title belt. Many boxing spectators and analysts have also predicted that his fight with Ugas would be his last fight. Many people are also hoping that Pacquiao should not aim for a higher position to become President of the country because he was the top absentee in the senate.
