Early Life and High School Career
Growing up in Louisiana, Morenike attended Southwood High School in Caddo Parish, where she quickly made a name for herself on the court. She was honored as Louisiana's Most Valuable Player in both her sophomore and junior years and capped her high school career with a standout senior season in 2004. That year, she averaged an impressive 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals per game, earning her accolades as the Shreveport Times Player of the Year.
