David Britton

David Britton is an American former professional basketball player who briefly played in the National Basketball Association for the Washington Bullets, and minor leagues.

Britton attended John F. Kennedy High School in The Bronx, New York. He began his college career at Potomac State Junior College in Keyser, West Virginia (1977-1978) before transferring to Texas A&M University (1978-1980).

At Texas A&M, he was part of a successful team that won the Southwest Conference with a 14-2 record and reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.

Professional Career

Though selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the third round of the 1980 NBA Draft, Britton instead signed with the Washington Bullets, appearing in two games.

He then played for minor league teams including the Lehigh Valley Jets and Maine Lumberjacks before concluding his professional career.
