Jeff McInnis is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association, Continental Basketball Association, and internationally before transitioning into coaching. NBA teams he played for include the Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Charlotte Bobcats, among others.

McInnis attended West Charlotte High School before transferring to Oak Hill Academy, where he was named a McDonald's All-American and Third-team Parade All-American in 1993.

He then played college basketball at the University of North Carolina from 1993 to 1996, earning Second-team All-ACC honors in 1996 and Third-team All-ACC in 1995.

Professional Career

After being selected by the Denver Nuggets in the 1996 NBA Draft, McInnis played briefly for the team before going to Greece with Panionios.

He found success in the CBA with the Quad City Thunder, earning MVP honors in 2000 along with multiple other accolades. He then played for several NBA teams including the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers, New Jersey Nets, and Charlotte Bobcats.

After retiring, McInnis founded the AAU organization Team Charlotte in 2009 and won 17U National Coach of the Year honors in 2015. He later coached at Combine Academy (2019-2022) before joining the Charleston Cougars as an assistant coach in 2024.
