Bill Bradley is a former American professional basketball player, Rhodes Scholar, and politician who played his entire National Basketball Association (NBA) career with the New York Knicks. He is a two-time NBA Champion, winning in 1970 and 1973.

He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983.

High School and College Career

Bradley attended Crystal City High School in Missouri, where he was an all-state and all-county basketball player. He then played college basketball for Princeton University from 1962 to 1965.

At Princeton, Bradley was a three-time All-American and the 1965 National Player of the Year. He led Princeton to the NCAA Final Four in 1965 and set numerous Ivy League records.

Professional Career

Bradley was selected by the New York Knicks as a territorial pick in the 1965 NBA Draft. However, he delayed his NBA career to attend Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar.

He joined the Knicks in 1967 and played his entire 10-year NBA career with the team.

Bradley was a key member of the Knicks' championship teams in 1970 and 1973. Bradley was named an NBA All-Star in 1973.

Post-Playing Career

After retiring from basketball in 1977, Bradley entered politics. He served as a Democratic U.S. Senator from New Jersey from 1979 to 1997. In 2000, he ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Bradley has authored several books and remains active in public life. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983. He was also inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
