Lonny Baxter

Lonny Baxter is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association for the New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, and Charlotte Bobcats, and various international leagues.

Lonny Leroy Baxter was born on January 27, 1979, in Silver Spring, Maryland.

He stands 203 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 120 kg. He shot right and played both power forward and center throughout his career.

High School and College Career

Baxter attended multiple high schools, including Richard Montgomery High School, Anacostia High School, and Hargrave Military Academy.

He then played college basketball at the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2002, where he won an NCAA championship in 2002 and earned First-team All-ACC honors in 2000 and Second-team All-ACC selections in 2001 and 2002.

Professional Career

After being selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 2002 NBA Draft, Baxter played for several NBA teams including the Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, and Charlotte Bobcats.

He then had a successful international career, winning the Italian League Championship with Montepaschi Siena in 2007.

He played for teams in Greece, Spain, Turkey, Russia, and Venezuela before concluding his career in 2013.
