Robert Arnzen is an American former professional basketball player who played in the American Basketball Association (ABA). He won an ABA Championship with the Indiana Pacers in 1973.

Arnzen attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then played college basketball at the University of Notre Dame from 1966 to 1969.

Professional Career

Arnzen was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the eighth round of the 1969 NBA Draft. He began his professional basketball career with the New York Nets (1969-1970) in the ABA, followed by a season with the Cincinnati Royals (1970-1971) in the NBA, where he appeared in 55 games.

He then joined the Indiana Pacers (1972-1974), where he won an ABA Championship in 1973. In total, he played 56 games in the ABA.

Outside Basketball

Arnzen also pursued a baseball career simultaneously, playing Minor League Baseball for several teams in the Montreal Expos organization.

His baseball career included stints with the Gulf Coast Expos (1969), West Palm Beach Expos (1969-1971), Winnipeg Whips (1971), Québec Carnavals (1972), and Peninsula Whips (1972).
