Maurice Baker is an American basketball coach and former professional player who played briefly in the National Basketball Association and had an extensive career in international basketball and the NBA Development League, now the NBA G League. He played for Los Angeles Clippers, and Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA.

Baker attended Madison High School in Madison, Illinois.He then played college basketball at Dixie State College from 1998 to 2000 before transferring to Oklahoma State University, where he played from 2000 to 2002 and earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Year honors in 2001.
Professional Career
After going undrafted in the 2002 NBA Draft, Baker began his professional career in Russia with Avtodor Saratov. He played for numerous teams across multiple countries, including Syria, Mexico, Lithuania, France, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic.His NBA career consisted of brief stints with the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers in 2005. However, he found his greatest success in the NBA Development League with the Dakota Wizards and Santa Cruz Warriors, becoming NBA Development League champion in 2007 and 2015.
He was also named NBA Development League All-Star in 2009.
He retired in 2016, last playing for Santa Cruz. In 2022, he started working as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers.
