Paul Carlyle Armstrong was an American basketball player. This 5’11 and 170 lbs player starred at Central High School in Fort Wayne, in Indiana. Here, he reached two state championship games whilst leading his team to a 50-60 record.

In late 1930s and early 40s, he attended Indiana University and earned All-Big Ten Conference honors during his junior year. After this, he played and coached for the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons professional basketball team. At present, this team is known as Detroit Pistons. Later on, he was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980.

In 1948-49 season, he played for FTW, with 54 games and lost 32 games. Here, he scored 380 points and assists of 105.
