John Arthurs

John Arthurs is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association who played briefly for the Milwaukee Bucks.

John Charles Arthurs was born on August 15, 1947. He stands 193 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 84 kg. A right-handed shooter, he played Guard.

In college, he was also a member of Tulane's baseball team, playing as a first baseman.

He attended De La Salle High School in New Orleans. He then played college basketball at Tulane University from 1967 to 1969, where he established himself as one of the school's premier players.

His achievements include being named All-American by Helms Athletic Foundation and UPI in 1969. He was inducted into the Tulane T-Club Hall of Fame in 1980, the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001, and the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.

Arthurs was selected as the 72nd overall pick in the sixth round of the 1969 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. His professional career lasted from 1969 to 1970, during which he wore number 12. He played one season with the Milwaukee Bucks.
