After transferring to the University of Connecticut (1980-1982), he earned Second-team All-Big East honors in 1981.

Professional Career

Selected 76th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 1982 NBA Draft, Aleksinas began his professional career in Spain with Estudiantes de Madrid in 1983, where he earned the nickname "Asesino" (Spanish for "assassin") due to his physical style of play.

He made his NBA debut with the Golden State Warriors on October 26, 1984, playing one season before returning to Europe. He continued his career in Spain with Zaragoza and OAR Ferrol before concluding his career in Italy with Gorizia.
