John Abramovic
John Abramovic attended the Etna High School and Salem International University.
His professional career in basketball began at the age of 27 when he started playing for Pittsburg Ironmen in the Basketball Association of America (BBA) in 1946. The 6’3’’ small forward played in the league 1947-48 season and earned a total of 533 career points.
He has also played for other teams including Baltimore Bullets, St. Louis Bombers and Syracuse Nationals.
John passed away on 9th June 2000 in Florida. He was 81 years old.

John Abramovic holds the record for being the first person to score 2000 points in NCAA history and also forms a part of the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Sports hall of fame.
