Walter Budko was an American professional basketball player who played in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for Baltimore Bullets and Philadelphia Warriors.

High School and College Career
Budko attended Trinity School in New York City, New York.
He then played college basketball at Columbia University (1942-1944, 1946-1948), where he earned Third-team All-American honors from Helms in 1948.
Professional Career
Selected 6th overall by the Baltimore Bullets in the 1948 BAA Draft, Budko spent three seasons with the team, also serving as their head coach in 1951.
He concluded his professional career with the Philadelphia Warriors in 1952.
