Raul Lopez has been a member of DKV Joventut from 1998 to 2000. He has played for Real Madrid from 2000 to 2002. Utah Jazz has been his team from 2002 to 2005. During 2005-06, his team was Akasvayu Girona.
Initially, Lopez was a member of the Spanish Junior National team. This roster won the 1998 FIBA Under 18 World Championship, 1999 FIBA Under 19 World Championship and 1998 FIBA Europe Under 18 Championship. Lopez and Pau Gasol were included in the senior Spanish national basketball team that took part in the 2001 European Championships and the 2000 Olympics Basketball tournament in Sydney.
Lopez suffered an injury to his right knee twice in his career – during the 2001-02 season when he played for Real Madrid Baloncesto and before the 2002 World Championships when playing for Spain.

Lopez plays in the position of point guard. He weighs 175 lbs and is 5 feet 11.75 inches in height. At present, he is a member of the Spain national basketball team as well as Real Madrid in the Spanish League.
