Kaya Peker is a professional basketball player from Turkey. He weighs 245 lbs and is 6 feet 10 inches tall. He plays in the position of Forward Center.

He has played for Pinar Karsiyaka from 1996 to 2000, for Efes Pilsen from 2000 to 2006, for TAU Ceramica during 2006-07 and for Besiktas Cola Turka during 2007-08. Currently, he is a member of the Turkey national basketball team. During the 2008-09 season, he reverted to his former team Efes Pilsen.

He took part in the 1998 European Under 18 Championship and the 2000 European Under 20 Championship. He was a member of the 2005, 2006 and 2008 Turkish All Star Game. Along with TAU Vitoria, he was a winner of the 2006 Spanish Supercup. While he played with Efes Pilsen Istanbul, he won the 2001, 2002, 2006 and 2009 Turkish National Cup. He was named as the 2005-06 Euroleague November Most Valuable Player.

Career Highlights

Kaya Peker won the Silver Medal for Turkey in the 2001 Turkey European Championships. In the year 2006-07, he played in 22 games and started 11 games. He received 388:45 playing minutes and posted 124 points, 44 defensive rebounds, 35 offensive rebounds, 19 steals, 15 assists and 20 blocks.
