Giorgos Printezis

From the 2008 Olympics basketball tournament, Giorgos Printezis was chosen in the Greek national basketball team. From 2002 to 2006, he was a member of Olympiacos. During the 2006-07 season, he played for Olympia Larissa. Presently, he plays in the Euroleague as well as Olympiacos in the HEBA A1.

Printezis plays in the position of small forward or power forward. His weight is 225 lbs and height is 6 feet 9 inches. During the 2007 NBA draft, San Antonio Spurs chose Printezis in the 2nd round as the 58th selection. Further, Toronto Raptors attained the draft rights of Printezis in exchange for the 2nd round draft pick in the 2008 NBA draft.

When Printezis played in Europe for Olympia Larissas in Greece during 2006-07, he recorded 3.9 rebounds and 11.5 points per game and this was his best year till date. His Euroleague career highs are as follows – 34 minutes on 1st November 2007, 1 block on 19th December 2007, 3 steals on 8th November 2007, 3 assists on 8th January 2009, 7 total rebounds on 3rd April 2008 and 22 points on 29th January 2009.
