Panagiotis Vasilopoulos is a Greek professional basketball player. He has been allocated the position of small forward, however he may also play as a power forward. He weighs 225 lbs and is 6 feet 8 inches tall.
Vasilopoulos was a member of the Greek junior team at the 2005 FIBA Under 21 World Championship as well as 2004 FIBA Europe Under 20 Championship. Along with this team, he was the winner of the Bronze Medal at the 2003 FIBA Under 19 World Championship as well as the 2002 FIBA Europe Under 18 Championship. Presently, he is a member of the Greek national basketball team.
In 2001, Vasilopoulos started in professional career along with PAOK Thessaloniki of the Greek League. He continued with this team for 5 years up to 2005. During the 2005 season, he made a 2 year contract with Olympiacos Piraeus. The reason of this change was that George Garbolas believed that Vasilopoulos could help Olympiacos to win championships. His contract with this team was extended by 4 years on 20th May 2008.

Career Highlights
Vasilopoulos won the Gold Medal for Greece in the 2005 Serbia and Montenegro European Championships. He also won the Silver Medal in the 2006 Japan World Championshiops.
