Ben Knight plays in the position of Forward. Till date, he has played with the following NBL clubs – Sydney Kings (1997), South East Melbourne Magic (1998), Brisbane Bullets (1999), Townsville Crocodiles (2000), Cairns Taipans (2001-03), Wollongong Hawks (2004), Sydney Kings (2005-06) and Singapore Slingers (2007-08).

In the 1998 Rookie of the Year award, Knight was ranked fourth. He participated in the 1998 NBL Grand Final. He was the winner of Brisbane Bullets Most Improved team award in 1999. In 2000, he led the NBL in field goal percentage. He got the opportunity to play in England for Milton Keynes in the 1999-00 and 2000-01 seasons. During the East Asian and Goodwill Games in 2001, Knight played for Australia. During the 2004 season, he was named to the NBL Eastern All Star team. In the New Zealand NBL, Knight represented Wellington Saints in 2003 and 2004 and in 2004, he became the Player of the Week twice. In the same year, he was nominated for NZNBL Outstanding Forward award.
