Aaron Jamal Crawford is a professional basketball player from the United States of America and plays as a point guard or shooting guard. Jamal went to the Rainier Beach High School where his performance over the four years prompted the school to retire his jersey upon graduation. He then went on to attend the University of Michigan where his most notable moment was when he was banned for 6 games for receiving monetary benefits for his performance, thus violating the rules of amateurism.
In his freshman year, Crawford decided to forego college and join the NBA. Picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Crawford was traded out to the Chicago Bulls on the very same day in exchange for Chris Mihm. After 4 average seasons with the Bulls, Crawford was traded out to the New York Knicks in 2004. Crawford partnered Stephon Marbury at shooting guard and had four years of regular action but no outstanding performances. His average with the Knicks over the four years was at 19.6 points per game, and Crawford was known to be one of the major stalwarts of the franchisee.
In 2008, the Knicks traded out Crawford to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Al Harrington.
In December of 2008, Crawford scored 50 points against the Charlotte Bobcats to become only the fourth player ever to score 50 or more points against 3 different teams, a feat he achieved with the Bulls, the Knicks and with the Warriors.
