Robertas Javtokas was selected as Lithuanian League Rookie of the Year in 2001. In 2005, he was chosen as ULEB Cup Finals MVP. He was the MVP again in Lithuanian League Finals in 2006.
Javtokas became a member of BC Lietuvos Rytas in 2000 and soon developed as the best Center in the Lithuanian League. Along with players like Rimantas Kaukenas, Arvydas Macijauskas and Ramunas Siskauskas, Javtokas was a winner in the 2002 Lithuanian League and the North European League Championship. He had to miss the complete 2003 season due to a motorcycle crash. The ULEB Cup Championship was won by him in 2005. In 2006, due to the contribution of Javtokas, the Rytas debuted strongly in the Euroleague and defeated their prime opponent BC Zalgiris 4-0 in Lithuanian League Finals series. The Rytas were also a winner in the Baltic League Championship. At the close of this season, Javtokas opted to play for another club as he was not satisfied with the money he was getting.

In the 2006-07 season, he became a member of Panathinaikos and along with this team won the Euroleague, the Greek Cup and the Greek Championship. On 24th July 2007, he made a contract of 2 years with Dynamo Moscow of the Russian League with whom he currently plays.

Robertas Javtokas was a member of Lithuanian League All-Star Game in 2001, 2002 and 2006. In 2001, he was the Lithuanian All-Star Game Slam-Dunk Contest Winner. In 2006, he led the Lithuanian League and Baltic League in blocked shots.
