Jorge Garbajosa, as a player of Spain, has won the following medals – Silver medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Gold medal in the 2006 World Championships in Japan, Bronze medal in the 2001 Turkey European Championships, Silver medal in the 2003 Sweden European Championships and Silver medal in the 2007 Spain European Championships.

Garbajosa is 6 feet 9.5 inches tall and plays in both small forward and power forward positions. His career has been divided between Europe and the United States. From 1994 to 2000, he represented Taugres/TAU Ceramica. He played for Benetton Treviso from 2000 to 2004 and for Unicaja Malaga from 2004 to 2006. During the 2008 off-season, he signed a contract with Khimki BC, a Russian League Club, which was worth 18 million USD and for a period of 2 years.

In his entire career, Garbajosa has won many awards – Italian Cup Finals MVP in 2004, Spanish Cup Finals MVP in 2005, Spanish League Finals MVP in 2006 and Mister Europa Player of the Year in 2006.
