Cartier Martin

Cartier Martin is a former American professional basketball player who played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association and had stints in various international leagues and the NBA Development League. He last played in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons.

In 2010, he was named to the NBA D-League All-Star team.

Martin attended Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas. He then played college basketball for Kansas State University from 2003 to 2007.

Professional Career

Martin went undrafted in the 2007 NBA Draft, which led to a diverse professional basketball career spanning multiple teams and leagues.

He began his journey with Antalya BB in Turkey for the 2007-2008 season before joining the Iowa Energy of the then-NBA D-League in 2008.

Martin's NBA career started with a brief stint with the Charlotte Bobcats in 2009, followed by a short period with Benetton Treviso in Italy. He then returned to the Energy before making appearances for the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards.

Martin also played in China for the Jilin Northeast Tigers during the 2011-2012 season. His NBA career continued with the Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, and Detroit Pistons between 2012 and 2015.

He finished his career with the Iowa Energy and Windy City Bulls of the G-League, and briefly played for SAN-EN NeoPhoenix in Japan in 2017.

Throughout his career, Martin earned recognition as an NBA D-League All-Star in 2010 and was named to the All-NBA D-League Third Team in 2009.
