Martin's NBA career started with a brief stint with the Charlotte Bobcats in 2009, followed by a short period with Benetton Treviso in Italy. He then returned to the Energy before making appearances for the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards.
Martin also played in China for the Jilin Northeast Tigers during the 2011-2012 season. His NBA career continued with the Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, and Detroit Pistons between 2012 and 2015.
He finished his career with the Iowa Energy and Windy City Bulls of the G-League, and briefly played for SAN-EN NeoPhoenix in Japan in 2017.
