Kyrylo Fesenko is a professional Ukrainian basketball player who plays as a center. In 2003, Fesenko made his professional debut with Azoymash Mariupol and played with the team for three seasons. In 2005, he shifted to CK Mariupol for a single season.
At the end of the 2005-06 season, Cherkasky Maypi Cherkasy came looking for Fesenko and he went to spend a season before deciding to move to the USA and the NBA. In the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers picked Fesenko at 38th overall. The 76ers immediately traded him out to the Utah Jazz with whom he signed a 3-year deal.
At Utah, Fesenko needed to be brought up to speed with the level of the game in the NBA and thus, he spent his first season at the NBA-Developmental League with the Utah Flash. Later that year, he was called to Jazz after injury had forced Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur out of the starting lineup. Fesenko responded with 6 points and 7 rebounds with 1 assist. Since then, he has remained a back-up for the two centers in the Jazz line-up.
