Courtney Lee is a former American professional basketball player who played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has played with various teams, including the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Dallas Mavericks

Lee attended Pike High School in Indianapolis. He then played college basketball for Western Kentucky University from 2004 to 2008.

At Western Kentucky, Lee was a standout player, finishing his career tied for the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,238 points. He was named Sun Belt Player of the Year in his senior season. He was also named to the First-team All-Sun-Belt.

Professional Career

Lee was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 22nd overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. He played for eight different NBA teams over his 13-year career, with his longest stint being with the New York Knicks from 2016 to 2019.

His best statistical season came in 2009-10 with the New Jersey Nets, when he averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. Lee was known for his consistent three-point shooting. He has also played for other teams like the Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies, Charlotte Hornets, and the New York Knicks.

He last played in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2019-2020 season.

Lee announced his retirement from professional basketball on June 21, 2021.
