Professional Career

Amundson entered the 2006 NBA Draft and went undrafted. He began his professional career with the Colorado 14ers in the NBA Development League during the 2006–07 season.

He signed 10-day contracts with the Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers that season, finishing the year with the 76ers. Amundson played for the Phoenix Suns from 2008 to 2010, the Golden State Warriors during the 2010–11 season, and the Indiana Pacers in 2011–12.

He played for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2012–13, had stints with the Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Hornets / Pelicans in 2013, returned to the Bulls in 2014, then played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014–15.

He was with the New York Knicks from 2015 to 2016, TNT KaTropa in the Philippine Basketball Association in 2017, and Kawasaki Brave Thunders in Japan from 2017 to 2018.
