Patrick Fitzgerald O’Bryant is a professional basketball player from the United States of America who plays as a center. O’Bryant was a student at the Blaine High School where he was a star amongst his peers, leading the team in blocks in his final two seasons. He went to Bradley University where O’Bryant was instrumental in leading the Braves to the Sweet Sixteen round of the 2006 NCAA tournament, his sophomore year for the school.

That was to be his last college season as O’Bryant decided to declare for the NBA Draft where he was picked at 9th overall, by the Golden State Warrior. O’Bryant had a terrible first season, playing just 16 games with the Warriors. This was preceded by a break in his leg that kept him out of the pre-season practice. The following season, he was sent down to the Bakersfield Jam in the Developmental League however, O’Bryant failed to dominate even in the D-League, coming back to the Warriors for another 24 games.

Disappointing over two seasons, O’Bryant was shipped out after the Warriors decided to decline him his third optional season. A free agent now, O’Bryant was brought in by the Boston Celtics as a backup for Kendrick Perkins.

The following season, O’Bryant was again moving to the Toronto Raptors, having played just 26 games for the Celtics. Although he played just 13 games in the entire season for the Raptors, O’Bryant was retained for the 2010 season.
