One of the notable matches he joined was against the Denver Rockets because he was ejected from the game as he gets into a huge fight with the Rocket’s Art Becker. The Mysterious Disappearance and Death of John Brisker
In 1978, Brisker went to Uganda for an import-export business, and after that, no one knew what happened to him. His teammates had some speculations in mind that he might get himself into a fight or be shot by Ugandan royalty. None of this information was confirmed up to this day. In May 1985, he was declared legally dead.
His former teammate Spencer Haywood shared in an interview that he was always wondering what happened to him in Uganda. There are unconfirmed rumors that Brisker and his wife were captured by Idi Amin’s men because he might have dishonored their king. But all of these remain a rumor.
