Frankie Brian used to play in the position of Guard. He had a height of 6 feet 1 inch and weight of 180 lbs. During the 1949-50 season, he was with Anderson Packers while in the 1950-51 season, he was with Tri-Cities Blackhawks. From 1951 to 1956, he played for Fort Wayne Pistons. While playing in the NBA (National Basketball Association), he was offered jersey no. 8, 13 and 7.

Brian attended Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana and later took admission in Louisiana State University. He played for 2 seasons in college in 1942-43 and 1946-47. He took part in 36 games at this level and completed 204 field goals, 142 free throws and 550 points.

In the playoffs from 1949 to 1956, Brian took part in 43 games and got 768 playing minutes. His field goal percentage was 0.347 and free throw percentage was 0.818. He accrued 394 points, 105 personal fouls, 93 assists and 61 rebounds.
