Adrian Branch is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association and various international leagues. He is an NBA Champion, winning in 1987 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Adrian Francis Branch was born on November 17, 1963, in Washington, D.C. He stands 201 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 83 kg. He shot right and played small forward throughout his career.

After his playing career, Branch became a television color analyst for the Charlotte Bobcats in 2004 and joined ESPN in 2007 as a college basketball analyst. He has also worked with various Christian sports ministries including Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action.

High School and College Career

Branch attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, where he was named a Fourth-team Parade All-American and won the McDonald's All-American Game MVP award in 1981.

He then played college basketball at the University of Maryland from 1981 to 1985, where he was twice named Second-team All-ACC (1983, 1985).

In 1984, he led the Terrapins to the ACC Championship and finished his career as Maryland's second all-time leading scorer. He was later honored as an "ACC Legend" in 2004.

Professional Career

Selected 46th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 1985 NBA Draft, Branch played four seasons in the NBA with four different teams. His most successful season came in 1986-87 with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won an NBA Championship.

He later played professionally in multiple countries including Australia, Spain, France, Monaco, Thailand, the Philippines, Israel, and Turkey.

In the Australian National Basketball League, he averaged 26.5 points and 9.3 rebounds over 61 games with the Brisbane Bullets and Geelong Supercats.
