Ira Bowman is a retired American professional basketball player who played as a guard in the National Basketball Association, Continental Basketball Association, and internationally. He has played briefly with Philadelphia 76ers, and Atlanta Hawks. He is currently an assistant men's basketball coach for Auburn University.

There, he was a CBA champion and twice named to the CBA All-Defensive Team in 1999 and 2000.

He also played for the New Jersey Shorecats, Grand Rapids Hoops, and Pastificio di Nola Napoli in Italy. Bowman appeared in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks between 1999 and 2001.

Coaching Career

Bowman began his coaching career as an assistant at NJIT from 2009 to 2012.

He then returned to Penn as an assistant coach, helping the Quakers to an Ivy League title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. Since 2018, Bowman has been an assistant coach at Auburn University.

There he played a key role in recruiting and player development, contributing to Auburn's Final Four run in 2019 and several top-ranked recruiting classes.
